Errors about uvcvideo module occurs when opening USB Capture (Plus) devices on Linux

When opening USB Capture (Plus) devices on Linux, the following error messages are shown:

uvcvideo: Non-zero status (-71) in video completion handler.

uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-1).

uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-1).

This problem is known to happen in three situations:

  1. The computer's power supply module is underpowered.
  2. Other devices around the capture device caused interference.
  3. When using GStreamer as the video capture software, the Videosink doesn't support Zerocopy.

You can try to fix the problem by changing the kernel or plugging the USB port into the rear panel of your computer.
