Use USB Capture Utility V3 to crop captured video

In the Video tab page, select the Crop input check box, and then consecutively click the arrows inside the four text boxes to adjust the video display area. The picture below shows how to crop video when the capture resolution is 1920x1080. The ordinates of point (0,0) and point (1920,1080) correspond to the four values of the Crop input option. Use USB Capture Utility V3 to customize frame rate

In the Advanced tab page, click the Frame Rate tab. Click Custom to open the Custom Frame Rate dialog box. Enter the frame rate in the Frame rate text box and click OK. Then the custom frame rate will appear in the right column of the main USB Capture Utility window. The right column displays items to be added; the left column displays added items. To move the custom frame rate to the left column, click the custom frame rate in the right column, and then click the left arrow between the left and right column. Use USB Capture Utility V3 to save information of current capture device

When you ask for support process, Magewell support engineer might ask you to export the information of the current capture device for detailed diagnosis. Steps are as follows: If your computer have connected multiple capture devices, click the device name on the top of USB Capture Utility V3. Click Save Report in the main USB Capture Utility window to open the Export dialog box. Select the save path and click Save to save the information of current capture device in .htm format to the local.

There are four modes that you can choose from: Weave (No de-interlacing) Blend top & bottom field Top field only Bottom field only We recommend that you use the Blend top & bottom field mode. It is implemented by hardware and doesn't occupy CPU.

How to use USB Capture Utility V3 to set AR conversion mode Open the utility software USB Capture Utility V3. In the Video tab page of USB Capture Utility V3, select an option for the AR conversion property. Differences between the three AR conversion modes Ignore: ignores the original aspect ratio and stretches the image to full-screen. Cropping: keeps the original aspect ratio, stretches the image to full-screen, and then crops the portion out of the capture dimension. Padding: keeps the original aspect ratio, stretches the image until it reaches the horizontal or vertical boundary, and then add black borders on the remaining fields. To record audio from the microphone, in the Shot Layers panel, click the plus sign (+), point to Capture Devices, and then select Mic or Line In as the audio input device under WASAPI audio capture. For Pro Capture and Eco Capture Family capture devices, select Audio as the audio input device linked with video. For USB Capture (Plus) Family devices, refer to the list below to select the audio input device linked with video. USB Capture HDMI (4K) Plus: select HDMI for camera/game console/video player capture; select Computer for screen capture. USB Capture SDI (4K) Plus/USB Capture SDI Gen 2: select SDI. The name will be displayed on the Output menu. Encoding Address: enter the RTMP address. Stream: enter the stream key. Click Open FMLE XML File beside the Stream text box, and then import the FMLE file downloaded from the streaming platform. 6Start and stop streaming On the Output menu, point to Start/Stop Broadcasting, and then click Start RTMP Server: (streaming object name) to start streaming.
