Magewell provides support to most of the popular signals as well as signal from retro and legacy equipment.
A software included with the device to enable advanced functions and more control over the device, such as resolution and frame rate setting, color space conversion, vertical flip and mirror, extraction of HDMI information, EDID, cropping and more.
Support UVC; manual installation of driver is not needed.
Users don’t need to select the input signal format to have it correctly recognized.
FPGA-based video processing, effectively reducing CPU usage.
The devices use USB 3.0 interface and no external power is needed. They also support USB 2.0 port, but the real-time frame rate will be reduced due to limited bandwidth. Users can also use a USB 3.0-to-Type C cable to connect it via USB Type C interface on the computer.
Support Windows, Linux, macOS and Chrome OS.
Windows 7/8/8.1/10/2008/2008 R2/2012 (x86 & x64). Linux (Ubuntu 12.04–16.10, CentOS 7). OS X 10.9–10.11. macOS 10.12 Chrome OS.
Metal housing to help heat dissipation of the chip. Use USB 3.0 Type A connector, which doesn’t easily get loose after long time of use. A USB Capture passes 7x24 working test in temperature between 0-50 ℃.

Support operating system native video capture APIs, including DirectShow, DirectKS, V4L2, ALSA and QuickTime. Support DirectSound based audio acquisition interface, extended interface based on IKsPropertySet. Compatible with almost all software based on DirectShow architecture.
When the signal is connected, the card will automatically detect the input signal and link the audio input with the video input.
Support 3 types of 3D HDMI signals: frame packed, top-and-bottom, and side-by-side
* Magewell Capture SDK is required to be used for some color spaces. Different models have different capability of color space support.
