How to use DJI OSMO Pocket 3 on Director Mini

With Director Mini paired with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, you can shoot high-definition videos on the go and perform real-time editing, replay, recording, and streaming, enabling free video creation. 

 

 

Connecting the Osmo Pocket 3 and Director Mini via a USB-C cable

1. Connect the USB-C port of Osmo Pocket 3 to the USB-A or USB-C port of Director Mini.

2. Create a scene on Director Mini and select a Webcam source, such as WEBCAM1.

3. Rotate the screen of Osmo Pocket 3 to start capturing footage. Wait for the webcam to be ready, and the video should appear on Director Mini at this point.

4. Now, you can use Osmo Pocket 3 to shoot videos, and start editing, recording or streaming on Director Mini.

 

Connecting the Osmo Pocket 3 and Director Mini via RTMP

  1. Create a RTMP Push scene on the Director Mini, remembering the streaming address at the bottom of the page when you create it.
  2. Open the DJI Mimo app, and ensure it has connected with your Osmo Pocket 3.
  3. Slide the bottom menu to "LIVESTREAM".
  4. Select RTMP, and tap "Start Livestreaming Settings".
  5. The app starts preparing to livestream. Wait for about 15 seconds and stay on app screen.
  6. Connect the Osmo Pocket 3 to the same network as the Director Mini in "Camera Network Status".
  7. Enter the RTMP streaming address from the first step.
  8. Slide the phone page for more settings.
  9. Tap "Start Livestream" and wait a few moments for the footage captured by your Osmo Pocket 3 to appear on your Director Mini.
  10. At this point, you can use your Osmo Pocket 3 to shoot videos, and start editing, recording or streaming on Director Mini.
