Do Magewell HDMI capture devices support CEC, HDR, or Camera Link?

Not support CEC. Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus, Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus LT, Pro Capture Dual HDMI 4K Plus LT and Pro Capture AIO 4K Plus support HDR. (only HDR10 standard). Not support Camera Link.

How to deal with audios captured by USB Capture (Plus) devices are all noises

If you are experiencing audio issues while using USB Capture Device, follow the steps below. Check whether the USB Capture Device is connected to a USB 3.1 port on your PC. If yes, please check with your PC brand manufacturer or PC motherboard manufacturer for the latest USB 3.1 updates. How to adjust volume when using USB Capture and USB Capture Plus for capturing

How to use USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 and USB Capture HDMI Plus in Zoom Rooms

Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 and USB Capture HDMI Plus external capture devices have been certified for use with Zoom Rooms. To use either of these products in conjunction with Zoom Rooms, please follow the below steps:  Connect your video source to a USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 or USB Capture HDMI Plus device, and connect the Magewell device to the Zoom Rooms computer via USB. Zoom Rooms will recognize the Magewell unit as a Content Sharing device and will begin sharing video and audio content. Magewell USB Capture devices support plug and play. Once you connect the device to the computer, you can use it without installing any drive. When you open the Zoom Room Controller, you can find the Magewell unit in the camera device list. If you cannot find it, please refer to Can't find Magewell capture device in Zoom Rooms.

Can't find Magewell capture device in Zoom Rooms

Windows In the Windows OS, right click , and select Device Manager. Then you can check whether the Magewell unit is in the Camera list. Not found: Check whether you have used the cable provided by Magewell, or you can connect to another USB port. Found: Check the privacy settings. Please refer to  the 3rd section in Can't use or find Magewell capture device on Windows. macOS  In the macOS,  click Apple icon > About This Mac > System Report.  Then you can check whether the Magewell unit is in the Camera  list. Not found: 1. Check whether you have used the cable provided by Magewell. 2. Connect to another USB port. 3. If you have changed the color space with  USB Capture Utility V3, refer to Video capture software can't find video capture device after changing the color format in USB Capture Utility V3 (Mac). Found: Check the privacy settings. Please refer to the 3rd section in Can't use or find Magewell capture device on MacOS.

How to enable/disable the audio output of USB Capture (Plus) series

USB Capture (Plus) series （Firmware version V2.6.10385 and above）support Audio Control, enabling customized selection of recording and playback devices. Steps: Open the USB Capture Utility  (V3.0.5.42875 and above). Go to "Advanced" > "Audio Control" tab. Select one device in the list to use its audio; Unselect one device, to close its audio. (All are selected by default.) After modification, click "Save to Device" at the bottom right of the window, confirm the change in the pop-up window. And the modification will take effect after disconnecting and reconnecting the device.   On Windows devices, this change is synchronised to refresh the USB Capture (Plus) counterpart display in the 'Device Manager > Audio inputs and outputs' section. Example: Select all the recording and playback devices for USB Capture HDMI Plus to enable their audio. The audio items are displayed in the Windows Device Manager. 2.  Unselect all the recording and playback devices for USB Capture HDMI Plus to disable their audio. The audio items disappear in the Windows Device Manager.

USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro Supported Resolutions and Frame Rates (mac OS)

The USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro is capable of capturing 4K video at 60 frames per second with 4:4:4 color fidelity. However, the maximum combinations of resolution, frame rate, color subsampling and bit depth that you can achieve will depend on your host system's USB interface and operating system.  A 20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface is required for maximum performance but is not available on Mac systems.   While recent Mac systems include a Thunderbolt 4 port capable of 40Gbps, these ports are not backwards-compatible to USB3.2 Gen 2x2 at 20Gbps. USB throughput on these systems will be limited to 10Gbps or 5Gbps depending on the specific model and operating system version.   The below table outlines the combinations of resolution, frame rate, color format and chroma sampling that can be captured with the USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro on macOS, depending on the host system's USB throughput capabilities (10Gbps or 5Gbps).   Systems running Windows or Linux operating systems will have different performance capabilities. Capturing RGB Format Video with Magewell USB Capture Dongles

In addition to capturing common video formats such as YUY2 and NV12, Magewell USB Capture dongles support capturing video in RGB formats. By comparison to other formats, RGB24 and RGB32 can better preserve color fidelity, particularly from signal sources such as computers that are natively RGB. Follow the steps below to use Magewell USB Capture dongles to capture RGB format video. From the Support > Downloads section of the Magewell website, select USB Capture, click the Tools tab and download the USB Capture Utility software (hereafter referred to as the "Utility") for your particular operating system (Windows/Linux/Mac). Install the Utility software on your computer, and connect your USB Capture dongle to the computer via a USB cable. Run the Utility software, then click Advanced. Select the Color Format tab. The left column will show the color spaces currently supported by the dongle (YUY2 in the example below). Click to select RGB24 on the right, then click "<" to move it to the list on the left. The dongle can now support capturing in the RGB24 video format. Similarly, move RGB32 to the left list as shown in the subsequent Once you are done, click Save to Device. Now restart the dongle by unplugging then reconnecting the USB cable connecting the dongle to the computer. Software that supports the RGB color space can now capture it through your dongle. For example, in the OBS software, you can select RGB as the video format for capture.
