What to do if I forget the passcode of a Ultra Stream encoder
If you have previously paired the encoder with a mobile phone using the Ultra Stream app, the encoder will be automatically connected once the app is launched. You can refer to the following method to reset the passcode of your encoder: In the Ultra Stream app, select SETTINGS > General > Reset > Reset All Settings and then select Confirm in the pop-up dialog box. If the encoder cannot be automatically connected, you can refer to the following steps to reset the passcode of your encoder: Long-press the red REC button on the Ultra Stream encoder for 5 seconds until all the lights on it turn on at the same time. Then the device will be reset to its original configuration and reboot. In the Ultra Stream app, select CONFIGURE DEVICE Wi-Fi and then enter your Wi-Fi password. After the encoder is successfully connected to Wi-Fi, follow the prompts in the app to set the device name and passcode. If you are accidentally disconnected from the encoder, just select INITIAL SETUP in the main interface of Ultra Stream app, and then continue to set the device name and passcode.

Stream live video to Twitch/Facebook/YouTube with an Ultra Stream encoder
In the Ultra Stream app, tap SETTINGS > Streaming Server > Add Server, and then select a streaming server. In the Edit Streaming Server page, tap Log in to log in to your account on the third-party streaming server. If your login is successful, you will be brought back to the Edit Streaming Server page. You can tap Test to check the network connection. (Optional) To delete the account, tap Clear in the Edit Streaming Server page, or swipe left and then tap Delete on your account in the Streaming Server page. Go back to the main interface, tap REMOTE > LIVE to start a live streaming. (Optional) Tap the LIVE button again to stop streaming.

Stream live video to a RTMP server with an Ultra Stream encoder
In the Ultra Stream app, tap SETTINGS > Streaming Server > Add Server > RTMP. Obtain the streaming server address and stream key from your live streaming service providers. In the Edit Streaming Server page, enter URL and Stream Key. Turn on Authentication Needed if your live streaming service provider requires authentication. Otherwise, skip to Step 6. Under Authentication Needed, enter your User Name and Password of the third-party streaming server. If the RTMP sever is successfully added, you will be brought back to the Edit Streaming Server page. You can tap Test to check the network connection. (Optional) To delete the account, tap Clear in the Edit Streaming Server page, or swipe left and then tap Delete on your account in the Streaming Server page. Go back to the main interface, tap REMOTE > LIVE to start a live streaming. (Optional) Tap the LIVE button again to stop streaming.

Short FAQs about Ultra Stream HDMI/SDI
Will Ultra Stream encoder add support for 4G-LTE USB wireless modems for live streaming? This feature has been supported in the latest release. Can the Ultra Stream encoder be used as a USB capture device? No. The Ultra Stream encoder is a standalone offline encoding device. The USB interface on the device should only connect with external USB disk and other storage devices to store recorded video, and it cannot connect with the host computer to transmit signals. Does the microphone jack of Ultra Stream HDMI only support mono audio? Yes. It only supports mono audio input. Does the microphone jack of Ultra Stream HDMI support both microphone and headphone? No. It only supports microphones. Does the microphone jack of Ultra Stream HDMI support line in audio input? This microphone jack is designed for microphone input. Please do not use it for line in audio input. The power of line in audio is relatively high and can result in device damage. Can I use the recording and streaming functions of Ultra Stream HDMI/SDI at the same time? Yes. You can simultaneously operate the recording and streaming functions through the mobile app or the buttons on the device. How to simultaneously start recording to phone and to USB flash disk? You can start recording to phone by tapping the recording button in the "LOCAL" page of Ultra Stream app. You can start recording to USB flash disk by tapping the recording button in the "REMOTE" page of Ultra Stream app or pressing the recording button on the Ultra Stream device. Can I set one live stream server to use the main stream and the other to use the sub stream? No. When the Ultra Stream encoder streams live video to two servers at the same time, you must apply either main stream or sub stream on the two channels of video stream at the same time. Does the Ultra Stream encoder support Wi-Fi that requires web page authentication? No. The Ultra Stream encoder can't be started due to the use of wrong power connector. What should I do? If you are using products made before November 2018, the power chip of your Ultra Stream encoder may have been burned and needs to be returned to the factory for repair or replacement. The hardware design of products made in or after November 2018 have been refined. Even if the wrong power connectors are used, there will be no physical damage to these products. The main stream and the sub stream refer to two sets of different encoding parameters, and the encoding parameters of the main stream are generally higher than that of the sub stream. For example, the main stream can be set to 1080p@60fps High Profile, 4Mbps, while the sub stream can be set to 720p@60fps Main Profile, 1Mbps. Parameters of the main stream and sub stream can be set through the Web UI or mobile App. In the Web UI or mobile App, you can tap on "SETTINGS > Encoding Parameters >" to set the parameters of the main stream and sub stream, and specify streams for live streaming and recording. How to turn on the Wireless AP mode of Ultra Stream
Do any of the following oprations to turn on the Wireless AP mode of Ultra Stream. By default, the Wireless AP mode is enabled. Resetting all device settings will enable AP mode. In the mobile client app, go to SETTINGS > Wi-Fi to enable AP. Note that your phone and the encoder must be close to each other (less than 10m apart, the closer, the better.). Click Enable AP in the Network tab, after logging into the Web UI successfully. Double click the green LIVE button located on the device panel to turn off/on the AP mode.

Use mobile broadband to live stream
This feature is especially designed for users who don't have Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. Instead, the device will be connected to the network via a 3G/4G USB modem. It gives you more flexibility in accessing the Internet so that you can stream anywhere at anytime. 1Plug a USB modem, the power cable, and HDMI input signal into your encoder. 2Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone, and make your device discoverable to nearby devices. Turn on Location Services and authorize to the app for Android 6.0 and above. Your phone and encoder must be close to each other (less than 10m apart). 3Download and open Ultra Stream app, searching for devices. 4Connect the unit via AP Mode. Select your encoder and tap CONNECT. Enter the device passcode in Pair to device, if the encoder has a passcode. 5Stream through USB Modem From the device list, tap to enter the SETTINGS > Streaming Server, add the platform for live streaming. Enter URL, Stream Key, choose the Mobile Broadband as the prime network, and then click Done. By default, the network connection priority is: Mobile Broadband > Ethernet > Wi-Fi. The device scans the available network according to the order and connect to it for streaming. If the current network is disconnected, the unit automatically re-scans according to the priority. 6Press the LIVE button located on the top panel of the device to start streaming.

What to do if I forget the password of Web UI
Please refer to the following steps to reset all settings, so that the password of Web UI can be reset to Admin. Reset all settings of your device. In the Ultra Stream app, go to SETTINGS > General > Reset, and then tap on Reset All Settings. Long press the Red REC button on the Ultra Stream device panel for 5 seconds until all indicators light up. Then all parameters will restore to factory default value. After the device recovery is complete, use the Ultra Stream app to re-configure your device. Check the IP address of Wi-Fi or Ethernet in SETTINGS. Enter the IP address in your PC browser, reconnect your device, open the Web UI and sign in with the default account: User name: Admin Password: Admin

How to configure Ultra Stream via Web UI
Ultra Steam allows you to set up and control it via a web-based user interface as an administrator account or a general user. Make sure that at least one of the following web browsers is equipped in your system. How to set the encoding profile of H.264 video stream
Use Ultra Stream App to set encoding profile In Ultra Stream App, tap SETTINGS > Encoding Parameters >. In the Encoding Parameters page, turn on Customize Main Stream, select a set of encoding parameters, and then tap Advanced Set > Encoding Profile. If you want to set the encoding profile of the sub stream, return to the Encoding Parameters page, locate to the Customize Sub Stream section, and then tap Advanced Set > Encoding Profile. Use Web UI to set encoding profile Log onto the Web UI. (See How to configure Ultra Stream via Web UI) In the Encoding Parameters tab page, turn on Main Stream, and then click Advanced Settings > Encoding Profile.
