Captured video is stretched or cropped

When the aspect ratio of the input video is different from that of the captured video, the capture device will stretch, crop, or add black edges to the captured video. The processing method that is applied depends on the AR conversion property of the capture device. If you want the captured video to keep the original scale, you can set the aspect ratio of the input video to the same as that of the captured video, or set the AR conversion property to Padding. Relevant Topic: Use USB Capture Utility V3 to set AR conversion mode Relevant Topic: Use the driver panel of capture card to set AR conversion mode Relevant Topic: Captured video have black borders

Where shall I install the PCIe card?

Magewell PCIe cards use PCIe 2.x interfaces and above. Computer motherboard may have PCIe slots compatible with x1, x4, x8 and x16. When you need to connect PCIe cards to the computer, you just need to insert them into the slots accordingly. For instance, insert a card using PCIe x1 into the PCIe x1 slot. In addition, A PCIe card fits into a slot of its physical size or larger. Therefore, you can insert a card using PCIe x1 interface into a PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slots when the PCIe x1 slot has been occupied, which solves the problem of slot shortage. Usually, you can find a "PCIe" or "PCI Express" sign near the PCIe slot. Relevant Topic: The Application of PCI and PCIe in Video Capture Cards

OSD Effect Ⅰ: overlay static image on captured video

1Make a bitmap image The bitmap image should be a PNG image in RGBA format. That is, the image should be transparent where you need the captured video to be visible. We recommend that you set the size of bitmap image according to the capture resolution, thus the bitmap image won't be stretched when overlaid on the video. 2Enable OSD Call the driver panel of capture card. In the OSD tab page, enter the path of the bitmap image in OSD file path. Select the Enable OSD check box and click Save preset. How to reduce the latency of Pro Capture cards

In the workflow, many factors may bring in latency, for example, the capture card, the application, and the operating system. How to reduce the latency You can enable the Low latency mode in the driver panel of Pro Capture card, but it will affect the performance of multiple streaming. Steps of how to enable Low latency mode are as follows: Call the driver panel of capture card, click the the Capture tab in the Video tab page, and then select the Low latency mode check box. You can also integrate your application with Magewell SDK and call the API of partial completion notification feature to achieve lower latency. Can the heat sink or fan be removed from the capture card?

Except that you have better cooling solutions for chips, it's not recommended to remove the heat sink or fan, which will affect the stability of the capture card. You should pay special attention to heat dissipation when using the mini PCIe cards and M.2 cards. Because those cards are generally used for small case, which is more difficult to dissipate heat compared with the normal case.
