How to reduce the power consumption of Pro Capture cards

We use Xilinx chips to achieve better performance, so the power consumption is higher. If you want to reduce power consumption, you can go to Download Center > Product Family, select Pro Capture, and then download and install the low power consumption version firmware. This firmware can be applied to Pro Capture Dual HDMI, Pro Capture Dual SDI, Pro Capture Mini HDMI and Pro Capture Mini SDI. We must remind you that the performance and function of low power consumption firmware are both reduced compared with that of the high performance firmware. Differences between the low consumption version and high performance version of Pro Capture Family Firmware

The video processing capability of the low consumption firmware is half that of the high performance firmware. For high performance firmware, there are two video processing pipelines with ~ 180 MP/s processing bandwidth for each one. For low consumption firmware, there is only one video processing pipeline with ~ 180 MP/s processing bandwidth. It only supports capturing two video streams (1920x1080 + 960x540) at the same time. The low consumption firmware doesn't support OSD. OSD: Overlay pictures, logos or subtitles on the video. The memory bandwidth of the low consumption firmware decrease to 16 bit.
